TOM Enterprise ("TOM," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website located at tomenterprise.org and associated subdomains (collectively, the "Site"). This Cookie Policy explains how TOM uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on the Site, what information those technologies collect, and the choices available to you regarding their use.
By continuing to use the Site after this policy is made available to you, you acknowledge the use of cookies as described herein. Where applicable law requires your consent prior to the placement of non-essential cookies, TOM will request that consent before placing such cookies.

What Are Cookies?

Cookie Duration
- Session cookies are temporary. They exist only while your browser is open and are automatically deleted when you close it. They help the site function during a single visit.
- Persistent cookies remain on your device for a set period of time (defined in the cookie) or until you delete them. They allow the site to remember you on return visits.
Similar Technologies
Where this policy refers to "cookies," it includes similar technologies unless otherwise specified:
- Web beacons (also called pixel tags or clear GIFs) — tiny image files embedded in web pages or emails that can track certain interactions.

TOM uses four categories of cookies on the Site:

Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the Site to operate — enabling core functions such as page navigation, access to secure areas, form security (CSRF protection), and session continuity. Without these cookies, services you have requested — such as completing an intake form or booking a session — cannot be provided.
Functional Cookies
Functional cookies allow the Site to remember choices you make and provide enhanced, more personalized features — for example, remembering your preferences or pre-filling fields you have previously completed.
Analytics Cookies
TOM uses analytics cookies to understand how visitors use the Site — which pages are most visited, how long visitors spend on different sections, and what paths visitors take through the Site. Analytics data is collected in aggregate and is not used to personally identify any individual visitor. TOM’s Site is built on Squarespace, which provides built-in analytics; TOM may also use Google Analytics or similar services, with IP anonymization enabled to the extent available.
Data minimization: TOM collects only the cookie data necessary to operate the Site and understand aggregate usage. TOM does not use cookies to build advertising profiles, target ads, or sell data to third parties.
Third-Party Cookies
Some features of the Site are powered by third-party services that may set their own cookies on your device. TOM does not control these cookies, and they are subject to the privacy and cookie policies of those third parties:

TOM is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of third-party services. TOM periodically reviews its third-party integrations and updates this list when services are added or removed. Your Cookie Preferences
With the exception of strictly necessary cookies — which are required for the Site to operate — you have choices about how cookies are used when you visit the Site:
- Strictly Necessary — Always On. Required for the Site to function. These cannot be disabled through TOM’s Site; blocking them through your browser will prevent core Site functionality from working.
- Functional — Optional. Improve your experience by remembering preferences. Can be disabled through your browser settings; disabling may affect some Site features.
- Analytics — Optional. Help TOM understand aggregate Site usage. Can be disabled through browser settings or by opting out of Google Analytics. TOM does not use analytics data to identify individuals.
- Third-Party — Varies. Set by embedded services (scheduling, forms, etc.). Managed through those services’ own settings and through your browser.
To opt out of Google Analytics specifically, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, which prevents Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits.
Browser Controls
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings — block all cookies, block third-party cookies only, clear cookies on browser close, or receive a notification before a cookie is placed:
Disabling cookies — particularly strictly necessary cookies — may affect the functionality of the Site. Appointment booking, contact forms, and secure page access may not function correctly if all cookies are blocked. For mobile devices, cookie settings are typically managed through your device’s browser settings or privacy settings menu.
Do Not Track
Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" (DNT) feature that sends a signal to websites requesting that your browsing activity not be tracked. There is currently no universally accepted standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals, and TOM’s Site does not currently alter its data collection or use practices in response to DNT browser signals. The cookie controls described in this policy — including browser settings and the Google Analytics opt-out add-on — remain available to you regardless of your DNT setting.
Policy Updates
TOM may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies and technologies used on the Site, changes in applicable law, or changes in TOM’s practices. When TOM updates this policy, the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will be revised accordingly.
If TOM makes material changes to how cookies are used — including changes that affect your rights or that introduce new categories of cookies — TOM will provide notice on the Site prior to those changes taking effect, where required by applicable law. Your continued use of the Site after any update constitutes your acknowledgment of the revised policy.
Version history: This is the initial version of TOM Enterprise’s Cookie Policy, effective June 1, 2026. Prior to this date, cookie practices were covered under TOM’s general Privacy Policy.
